Words This Week-7
This week, I am just giving the words and the meanings, since in the previous posts, I was playing around with the same set of words, and it was difficult to incorporate some out-of-the-ordinary words into the passage!!
- cantankerous- Stubbornly obstructive and unwilling to cooperate.
- idiosyncrasy- A behavioral attribute that is distinctive and peculiar to an individual.
- carte blanche- Complete freedom or authority to act.
- intransigence- Refusing to change one’s views or behaviour.
- approbation- Approval.
- desultory- Lacking purpose or enthusiasm.
- castigate- Reprimand severely.
- quixotic- High-minded and unselfish to an impractical extent.
