Here’s the second installment-

  1. Dichotomy- a separation or contrast between two things.
  2. Ramifications- complex results of an action or event.
  3. Ossified- harden, turn into bone, cease development.
  4. Ameliorate- make (something) better.
  5. Portentous- An omen, sign that something important is likely to happen.
  6. Pedantic- (of) a person obsessed with minor details or technical knowledge.
  7. Moratorium- a temporary ban on an activity.
  8. Mitigate- reduce, lessen the effect of, make less severe.

  1. “A word becomes ones own,when used within ones own sentence.”
    I dunno who said it…jus hearsay.
    But it works!!
    So if have time,you can form sentences to make the new words completely yours..
